The Second Veil, a Rooks & St. Felix Haunted Mystery Box - Curated Antique Oddities and Paranormal Collector Keepsakes
Mystery Box · Novice Tier
The first door is behind you now. The second is thinner, and what stands beyond it has been waiting longer.
Not every haunting is loud, and the quiet ones are not always the gentlest. There is a kind of spirit that does not press against the edges of its keeping, that holds itself very still, that asks for nothing so long as nothing is asked of it in return. People mistake that stillness for emptiness. It is not. It is a balance, held carefully, by something that knows exactly how much it is willing to give and on what terms. Keep faith with it, observe the small courtesies it expects, and it keeps faith with you. Few things in this world are so honest about the bargain.
We grade what waits here at the gentle end of our scale, well within reach of a newer keeper, but we will be plain with you: it carries more weight than the first. There is a history to it, a before that did not end cleanly, a reason it has stayed attached to the thing that holds it rather than moving on the way most do. That history is part of what you are taking in. You do not need to fear it. You do need to respect it.
You will not know what stirs there, nor whose grief or devotion first bound it, until you open the box. Each is sealed by our own hand, and the note inside carries the whole of the story, written plainly, kept honest.
Some spirits choose their keepers. We think this one has been choosing for a while.
It already knows your name.
Three tiers, three depths of the collection:
No. II · The Second Veil · $250
Each tier is drawn from a finer shelf than the last. The spirit stays gentle. The object grows rarer.
Every antique is real, old, and chosen with care. What comes home with you stays a mystery until you open it. After that, it is yours to keep.
